Obituary of Wayne Cameron

Wayne Irwin Cameron, 63, Middle River, Pictou County passed away on Saturday evening, April 14, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with his family at his side. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Willard and Annie (Lays) Cameron. Wayne grew up on Dufferin Street, Westville and later built his family home in Middle River. He was actively involved in sports and passed this love to his children. He also enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends. Wayne will be sadly missed by his wife of 37 years, Linda (Fraser); children, Dwayne (Vannessa), Sylvester; Marianne (Alec), Halifax; Jamie (Meggan), Middle River; Michael, Middle River and Courtney, Middle River; grandchildren Jack and Avery; sister Doris Sampson, Nine Mile River; brother, Tim (Shelley), Westville and mother in law, Mary Fraser, Gairloch. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward Lays. Wayne restyed at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Tuesday April 17. A family grave side service was held Wednesday April 18 at St. Andrews Cemetery, Gairloch with Rev. Charles MacPherson officiating. No flowers by request, donations in his memory may be made to Westville Minor Hockey or a charity of one’s choice.
