Obituary of Adeline Carrigan

Adeline Ann Carrigan, 67, of Clyde St., New Glasgow, formerly of Westville, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Ann (MacDonald) Carrigan of Westville. She was employed at Canadian Meat Packers for several years and later was caretaker at the Trenton Town Hall for over 17 years. Adeline enjoyed music, playing her guitar, and singing, fishing and hunting, and playing bingo, but most of all enjoyed gatherings with her family and friends. She is survived by her sisters, Harriett Ryan, Westville; Judy Stewart (Barry), Thorburn; June Fraser (Sidney), Little Harbour; Louie MacGregor (Pearl), New Glasgow; two brothers Richard (June), Thomson Manitoba; Harry, New Glasgow; close family friend, Carol Duncan, New Glasgow; and special grand-niece Kali MacLean, Stellarton; and several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister Rosie Slaunwhite and brother John D. Cremation has taken place. Her family will received visitors on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. A memorial service was held 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Church of the Holy Name, Westville with Father Gerald Campbell officiating. Interment was in the Holy Name Cemetery.
