Obituary of Isabel Megeney

Isabel Megeney, 76, of Stellarton, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012 in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late David and Hilda (Flemming) Cummings. Isabel worked for many years at the Peter Pan Motel. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She is survived by daughter Lyda MacKenzie (Gordon), Kingsport; son Terry, Stellarton; step-daughter Helen Green (Vernon), Rocklin; grandchildren Lyndsey MacInnis and Angel Geddes; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Helen), Stellarton and Willard, B.C. She was predeceased by her first husband Joseph Soboda; second husband, Edgar Megeney; grandchildren, Jason Green and Conor Megeney; brothers, David, William, Edmund; sisters, Audrey MacDougall, Marie Taylor, Mary Rundle, Evelyn Fraser; and twin infant sisters. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. A grave side service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday at Birch Hill Cemetery, Rocklin. Donations in her memory may be made to the N.S. Alzheimer’s Assoc.
