Obituary of Neil Carrigan

Neil Joseph Carrigan, 71, of Hopewell/New Glasgow, on June 16, 2012, went home to be with his Lord after a lengthy illness. He was a son of the late Joseph and Christina (MacNeil) Carrigan. Neil will be remembered by his family and friends for his love of family, music, chats about God and his sense of humour. He is survived by his wife Doreen (Cyr); daughter Angela Carrigan (Douglas Creed), Slave Lake, Alberta; brother John Carrigan (Barb), Westville; sister Phyllis Murray (Floyd), Stellarton; aunts, Helen Geddes, Springville, Ann Darroch (Garfield), New Glasgow; uncle Stephen MacNeil, New Glasgow; sisters-in-law Becky Daley, Rhoda Smith (Gary); brother-in-law Leonard Cyr; numerous nieces and nephews; special prayer partner Caroline Barclay; and special friend Judy Davidson. Neil is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, June 23rd at 2 p.m. at the Lighthouse Family Worship Centre, Temperance St., New Glasgow. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care, the Canadian Diabetic Assoc. or a charity of your choice
