Obituary of Helen Thomson

Helen Margaret Thomson, 69, Stewart Road, Roger’s Hill, Pictou County, N.S. passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with her family at her side. Born in Sylvester, Helen was a daughter of the late Radley and Edith (Marshall) Dunn. Helen worked alongside of her husband Jim on the family farm. She always welcomed everyone into her home and was a special care giver to Jim’s family for many years. She enjoyed traveling, camping and kayaking and recently became active in the Tai Chi Group. She will be sadly missed by her children, Edith (Dave Kingsbury and daughter Megan), Stellarton; Billy (Edna and sons Riley and Alexander), Roger’s Hill; Michael (Rayna and sons James and Justin), Stratford, P.E.I.; sisters, Isabell Bowen (Frank), Little Harbour; Olive Simpson, (Roger), B.C.; Frances Phinney (Bruce), Green Hill; Elda Kopp, (Edwin), Saskatchewan; brothers, Charles Edward Dunn (Louise),, B.C.; Marshall Dunn (Paula), Loch Broom; George Dunn (Shirley), Green Hill; Roland Dunn (Kim), Alberta and Garfiled Dunn (Alice) , Sylvester; She was predeceased by her husband, James Thomson Helen rested at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on July 11. Her funeral service was held on Thursda, July 12 at Eagles Funeral Chapel,, Westville with Archdeacon Mark Kingsbury officiating . Burial was in Seaview Cemetery, Pictou. Donations in Helen’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
