Obituary of Lloyd Fraser

Lloyd MacLeod Fraser age 84, of Mill Brook, Pictou County passed away on Friday July 20th in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with his family by his side. Born in Mill Brook on January 14th, 1928, he was a son of the late James Daniel and Jessie Emma (MacLeod) Fraser of Mill Brook In his earlier years, Lloyd worked the farm, the mill and in the lumber camp. Later, he was employed by Hawker Siddley and finally retiring from the Dept.of Highways. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, playing cards, and a good joke. He especially enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by children: Leonard ( Donna), Mill Brook; Beverly Clark (Dave), Oxford; Allan (Mary), Scotsburn; Elwood (Mary), Pleasant Valley; Iva Campbell (Keith), Westville; Dale Roddick (Bill), Mill Brook; Velda Fulmore, (David), Pictou; Helen O’Connor (Chuck), Anderson’s Mountain; Grandchildren: Daniel Fraser, Amy Cameron (Steve); Jennifer and Donald Clark; Leanne Hendricken (Andre) and Kevin Fraser (Melani); Christopher Fraser; Blair Salter (Johannah) and Yvonne Salter (Scott); Ryan Roddick (Cassie), Fraser (Liz)Roddick; and Nick Roddick (Jessica); Michelle Veenhuis (Ryan) and Jamie Fulmore; Devin and Jeffrey O’Connor; Great-grandchildren: Briac, Greysen, and Sara; Step-grandchildren: Janine, Lynn (Merv), Debbie; Stephen ( Tanya); Step-great grandchildren: Ethan, Kelsey, Meghan and Quinn; Sisters: Vera MacCulloch, PEI; Ella Tupper, New Glasgow; Jean Henderson (Bill), Pictou; Myrtle Wooldridge, Toney River; Brothers James (Margaret), Mill Brook; and Donald (Yvonne), Sinclair’s Island. Lloyd was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Evelyn (nee Wooldridge); sister Evelyn Robinson; and by brothers Allister and Raymond and an infant brother Chester. His funeral service will be held on Monday July 23 from Eagles Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Charles MacPherson officiating. Burial took place in Mill Brook Cemetery. Family Flowers only.
