Obituary of Elwood MacKay

Elwood Joseph MacKay, age 84 yrs, of Loch Broom, formerly of Westville and Stellarton, died August 13, 2012. Elwood was a on of the late Joseph and Hilda (Cyr) MacKay; husband of the late Mary Ann (Chapman). He is survived by sons, Joseph, Loch Broom; John "Jock", Labrador City; Tom, Churchville; daughter, Loretta Crockett, Loch Broom; brothers Wilfred, Joseph Howe, Benvie, Roy and sister Gladys; also 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, wife Mary, sons, Jackie, Steven and Mike and brother, Aubrey "Butch". Elwood worked at, Maritime Steel & Foundry, and was at Scott Maritime Pulp Ltd. for 26 years. Elwood rested at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville His funeral service was held 11 am Saturday August 18 from the Church of The Holy Name, Westville with Father Donald Boudreau officiating. Burial took place in the Holy Name Cemetery.
