Obituary of Shirley MacDonald

It is with heavy hearts and sadness, we announce the passing of our wife and mother, Shirley Mary (Tibbo) MacDonald of Lourdes on Friday, January 4, 2013 , at the age of 67 years. Born Jan. 1, 1946 in Port Felix, Guysborough County, she was a daughter of the late Garnett (Tibbo) and Stephen David, and grand daughter of the late Neil and Mary Tibbo with whom she was raised as a child. She loved going for drives, spending time with her family, going on picnics, going fishing, baking, doing crafts and playing crib. She was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 28 Stellarton. Shirley will be dearly missed by her husband and love of her life, Simeon MacKenzie, precious daughters, Cindy Dunbar (Tom), Moncton; Paula Wallace (Donnie), MacLellan’s Brook; and grand children who were her pride and joy, , T.J. Dunbar (Shannon), Samantha Dunbar and Robbie Wallace. She is also survived by sisters, Sharon Cunningham (Gary), Sherwood Park, Alb., Yvonne Kaiser (Bruce Naugler), Sackville, N.S.; brother Basil David (Sharon), Edmonton and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant sister, Sylvia. Shirley rested at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Her funeral service was held at 11 am Wednesday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Father Donald Boudreau officiating.. Interment was in Port Felix.
