Obituary of Isobel White
Isobel White, age 98, of Purvis Ave., Westville, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013 in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.
Born on October 5, 1914, at her home on Purvis Ave., she was a daughter of the late William and Ella (Gray) Thomson.
She was a long time member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Crystal Fountain Rebekah Lodge #11 for 65 years, serving in many offices, including Past Nobel Grand as well as a member of Canton Dryden #2 from where she received the LAPN Decoration of Chivalry; and was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Westville Chapter #24 for 35 years where she had also served as Past Matron.
She is survived by her grand-son Guy Wallace White, Halifax and daughter-in-law Freda, PEI.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Andrew; her son Wallace; daughter-in-law Irene; and brother Clinton Thomson.
Visitations were held from on. Saturday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. . Her funeral service was held 2:30 Sunday from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Westville with the Rev. Jeff Lackie officiating. Burial was in St. Columbus Cemetery, Hopewell. Special Thanks to Diane Hayman for her friendship and to Ann and Stewart Oxenham for their support these many years.
