Obituary of Ian Moss

Ian Arthur Pringle Moss, age 77, of Loch Broom passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Pictou, August 6, 1935, he was a son of the late S. Arthur Moss (MacGregor Mine Disaster) and Doris Read (Pringle) Moss. Ian is survived by his wife Frances (Thompson); his son Darryl Arthur Moss; sister Sondra (Don) MacLeod, Dartmouth; a niece and two nephews. His extended family was always his neighbours, friends and co-workers. A graduate of Maritime Forest Ranger School (class of 1955), he was employed by The Nova Scotia Dept. of Lands and Forests (Dept. Natural Resources), retiring in 1990, after 35 years of service. He was a life member of The Blue Knights and a life member of The Gold Wing Road Riders Assoc. He was a life member of the N.S. Forest Technician Assoc. and was to be honoured as Forest Technician of the Year, 2013. His funeral service was held 1 o’clock Saturday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with the Rev. Barb Fotheringham officiating. Burial was in the Auburn Cemetery, Westville, his ancestral home. No flowers by request. "Just and True" "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you"
