Obituary of Beatrice Fraser

Beatrice Fraser, left this life peacefully with family members at her side, at the home of her son Albert, April 20, 2013, just shy of her 100th birthday. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Elizabeth (White) Kennedy. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton. In her later years, she attended Saint John the Baptist R.C. Church, New Glasgow. Besides playing cards, she had a great love of singing, and sang to the very end. Surviving are daughters, Marguerite Fraser, New Glasgow, Jean Cook (John), Trenton, Bernadette MacDonald (Alex), Stellarton; sons, Albert (Helen), River Road, Springville, Joseph (Jean), Island East River, Kenneth (Evelyn), Westville; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. She was expecting her first great-great-grandchild, and had many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband of 56 years, Melvin, Beatrice was predeceased by two grandsons, Thomas and Peter Cooke, Trenton, sisters, Sarah Cyr (Joe), Margaret Chartrand (Albert), Christena MacDonald (Dan), Jean White (Henry), Laura Anderson (Albert Porter) (Morgan), Priscilla Grant (Mike), brothers, James (Mollie) and William (Amelia), also brothers and sisters in infancy. Her funeral is under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton Road, New Glasgow with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burialwas in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in her name may be made to a charity of your choice
