Obituary of Terry Wadden
Terrance, "Terry" Wadden. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Terrance Lauchie Wadden, Foord Street, Stellarton, formerly of Westville, on June 12 2009.
Born in New Glasgow May 29, 1964, he was the son of Betty(Carroll)Wadden, of Westville and the late John James "Jim" Wadden.
He will be greatly missed by his mother, Betty (Carroll) Wadden, sister Linda Crosby, brothers, Jerry and Joe; all of Westville, sisters Mary, Stellarton; Karen (Ron) Bears, Halifax; Cathy (Gordon) MacIntosh, Westville; Brother in law Gary (Theresa) Crosby, Riverton. Family was a huge part of Terry’s heart and he will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, of which he was so proud and loved so dearly, along with his aunts, uncles, cousins and his ‘store’ family. He was predeceased by his father, Jim Wadden and sister, Lorraine Crosby. Terry was a friendly familiar face to the Stellarton Business District. He joined Poulains Pharmacy after graduating from Westville High School, becoming an integral part of their community of stores. In his efforts to serve his community, he wrote health tips for the monthly Pharma Choice Flyer, furthering his education by attending Dalhouise University for 4 years, and always going the extra mile to research the answer to anyone’s question. Terry invested heart and soul into countless community projects over the years, most often working quietly in the background. Whether it be serving food at the soup kitchen or tending bar at Homecoming, you knew you could depend on Terry. Always a deeply spiritual soul, Terry made time to give back to his church, working with the youth, serving as Eucharistic Minister and numerous committees over the years. Terry gave all that he had to any need that he perceived, be it a design for a banner, hands at an event, a hug on a hard day, or an ear late into the night. Terry was your man.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place Monday June 15th, from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Eagles’ Funeral Home, Westville. Funeral mass will take place 10am Tuesday, June 16th from The Holy Name Parish, Westville. Interment at the Holy Name Cemetery, A reception will follow in the church hall
A gentle spirit that kissed our hearts, rest in peace our dear friend
