Obituary of Clary White
Clarence Thomas "Clary" White, age 70 , of Westville, formerly of Stellarton, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow surrounded by his loving family.
Born January 22, 1943 in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Alice (White) MacDonald.
He served in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Military Police Officer and later as a Police Officer in the Toronto Police Department. He returned to Pictou County to take the position as Chief of Police for the Town of Westville. Upon leaving police work he owned and operated Pizza Rodini in Truro, where he was known to have the best pizza in town. Clary later worked for 28 years in auto sales with various companies, retiring from Northumberland Pontiac. He loved the outdoor sports of hunting and fishing. He loved to play Wii bowling with his grandsons and 45's with his family and friends on Saturday nights.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years, Fern (MacDonald); son Clarence (Donna), Great Village; daughter Leigh-Ann, Westville, formerly of Montreal; grandsons, Luke and Ben, Great Village; sister, Irene Logan (Calvin), MacLellan’s Brook; special uncles who Clary considered his brothers, Jim, Jack, Joe, and Cliff.
He was predeceased by special uncles Brent, Bob, Kenny, Frank, Herb, and Bill and special aunt, Pearl Cleary.
Cremation has taken place. His family received visitors on Friday . at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His memorial service was held 2 o’clock Saturday April 4 from St. Bees Anglican Church, Westville with Rev. Aidan Kingsbury officiating. Interment was be in St. Bees Cemetery.
