Obituary of Terrry Eagles

Terrence Elroy Eagles, 75 of MacDonald Street, New Glasgow formerly of Westville passed away on Friday, May 30, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Westville, he was a son of the late Norma (Wood) Eagles. Terry grew up in Westville and at the a young age joined the Canadian Air Force achieving the rank as Sergeant. He was an Radar Tech. with NORAD . His career took him to Trenton, France, Germany, Montana, North Bay and Commox. . He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 34. After retiring from the Air Force, he returned to Pictou County where he worked with the Corp. Of Commissionaires. He is survived by his children, Dawn Girard (Gerry); Terry (Denise) and Darren all of Ontario, grand children Jeremy, Bryce and Trista Girard; Cassidy, Sheldon and Bailey Eagles great grand child Tanika. and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Edith Eagles and Marjorie Savage; brother Osborne Eagles and infant brother Herbert. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00 - 1:45 at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 34 will conduct a service on Monday at 1:45 followed by his funeral service at 2 o’clock both at the Funeral Home.
