Obituary of MacDonald. Frances

Frances Grant MacDonald, of New Glasgow, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Watervale, Pictou Co., she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret (Blair) Sutherland. She had worked in the Royal Bank for over 25 years, until her retirement. Frances enjoyed old time music and dancing, and was a member of Sharon St. John United Church. She will be sadly missed by her son Gerald (Bev), Truro; daughter Sharon Delaney (Bruce), Truro; grandchildren, Karen Delaney; Brittany and Natasha MacDonald; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her twin sister Mary Parker, Durham. She was predeceased by her husband Reid; a grandson Terry Delaney; brothers, Fred and John (Ida) Sutherland; and brother-in-law Kenneth “K.Y.” Parker. Her remains rested at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Tuesday Her funeral service was held 2 o’clock Wednesday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with the Rev. John Roy officiating. Burial was in Cross Roads Cemetery, Valley. Donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital
