Obituary of Harry Ohrling

Harry Frederick Ohrling, 85 formerly of Westville and Stellarton passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital New Glasgow. Born in Stellarton, he was a son of the late Harry and Cora (Hayes) Ohrling. Harry was a coal miner having worked in various coal mines retiring from the McBain Mine, Thorburn. For the passed few years, he resided at Valley View Villa. He is survived by daughters, Mary Walker (Vic), Westville; Tena Lachapelle (Larry), Hamilton, Ont.; sons, Fred (Donna), Sunnybrae; George, Hamilton. Ont.; sisters, Lil Croft, Ont.; Mary “Honey” Dubeau, Stellarton; several grandchildren, great grand children, nieces and nephews. Harry was predeceased by his wife, Ada (Lochead); brothers, Norman, Robert “Gobbler”, and William “Bill” and sister, Jessie Priest. His remains rested at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Friday from 7-9 pm. His funeral service was held 11 am Saturday July 20, 2013 from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with the Rev. John Roy officiating. Burial was in the Auburn Cemetery, Westville.
