Obituary of Violet Murrell

The passing of Violet (MacKay) Murrell. 77, Truro Road. Westville occurred on July 27, 2013 at her home after a brief illness. She was a daughter of the late Everett and Muriel “Nookie” (Whytewood) MacKay of Stellarton. She is survived by daughters, Rhoda Logan (John); Darlene MacLennan; Lori Lloyd (Tim); sons, Everett and Shane (Janet); grand children, Wesley (Kim) and Nigel (Stacy) Logan ; Kaylie and Kyle MacLennan; Janda and Breanna Murrell; and Ashley Lloyd; a sister Sandra Fiefield; chosen sister Patti Leil. Violet is also survived by a sisters-in-law, Lorna MacDonald; Joyce MacNeil and Rhoda Willan; brother-in-law Gary Murrell and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clayton “Flash”Murrell; her parents; sister, Sarah Kennedy; in-laws Thomas and Margaret Murrell; Edna MacKay, Ruth Whidden, and Harold Murrell. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville, with a family committal service at a later date. A celebration of life will be held August 5th from 2-4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Westville. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
