Obituary of Donald Lees
Donald Clifford Lees (Sr.), 78 of Riverton formerly of Westville went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, September 15, 2013.
Born in Union Centre, Donald was a son of the late George and Agnes (MacDonald) Lees.
Don worked on road construction with the Department of Transportation until his retirement. He was a member of Father’s House, New Glasgow with his faith being very important to him. Don was a family man who enjoyed just spending time with his children and grand children.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of fifty years, Violet (White), daughter, Helen Hebert (Mike), Alberta; sons, Donald (Liz); C.F.B. Gagetown; Richard (Cynthia), C.F.B. Gagetown; Jonathan (Kimberly), Westville; 12 grand children, Paige, Sara, and Susan; Natalie, Kaitlin, Spencer and Lacee; Tony, Bruce and Parklin; Marie and Donald and 7 great grand children. He is also survived brothers. Richard “Dick”, Durham; George (Lucy), Millbrook; Gerald (Elsie), Westville; sister, Dorothy (Bill) Langford, North Bay, Ontario; sisters-in-law, Lillian Wilson, Springville; Sheila Morrison (David Hayman), New Glasgow; Helen Arnold (Larry), Hoyt, N.B.; Doreen Coady (Gary), Westville.
His family received visitors on Tuesday from Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His funeral service was held 2 o’clock Wednesday September 18 from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Royce Harris officiating. Interment will be in Birch Hill Cemetery, Rocklin at a later time. Donations in Donald’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
