Obituary of Ben Brown

Benedict “Ben” Brown, 74, of Granton passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with his family at his side. Born in Newfoundland, he was a son of the late William and Margaret (Green) Brown. A hard worker and good father, he will be sadly missed by his wife Ina “Dee” (Deagle); daughters, Jessie Conway (Gerard), Westville; Lisa Dean (Jerry), Westville; Ann Kenny (David), Granton; Robin Patterson (Stephen), Granton; grandchildren, Amy and Michael Conway; Mandy Dean; Kimberly Brown, Sara and Justin Kenny; Mitchell and Katie Patterson; and four great-grandchildren, Gabriel MacDonald, Saige and Nathan MacKinnon, and Peyton Patterson; special niece Tammy MacKean, Ont.; two brothers, Mike Brown, Halifax and Ted Brown, Ont. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of life will be held 2 o’clock Monday at his home.
