Obituary of Jessie Cunningham Tattrie

Jessie Arberta (Cunningham) Tattrie, 96, Westville , passed away peacefully on October 27, in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Born March 30, 1917, in Three Brooks, Pictou County, she was the daughter of the late James William and Myrtle Alberta (Ross) Fraser. Jessie was a long time resident of Westville, an active member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Westville; Pythian Sisters and Order of the Eastern Star. She was a hair dresser in Westville until her retirement. She is survived by sons, Wayne Cunningham (Doris), Burlington, ON, Greg Cunningham (Regena), Regina, SK and Fred Cunningham (Diane), St. Albert, AB; son-in-law Hugh Hardy, Greenhill; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters Mildred MacPhee, Hardwood Lands, Mary Rumney, Scarborough, ON. Jessie was predeceased by her first husband John James Cunningham and second husband Louis Tattrie, daughter, Arleigh Hardy (Cunningham), sisters Annie, Catherine, Jean, Evelyn, Georgie and brothers, Donald, Clyde and Jim. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 pm at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. The Eastern Star Lodge will conduct a service at 6:30 Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday from St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Westville with the Rev. Bonnie Wynn officiating. Burial will be in Heatherdale memorial Gardens. Donations in her memory may be made to the Terry Fox Foundation.
