Obituary of Georgina MacKenzie

Georgina MacKenzie, age76 , of Westville, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the home of her daughter, Jackie Hayman (David). Georgina was the eldest daughter of the late George “Bunny” and Sarah “Sadie” (Marshall) MacEachern. Georgina and her late husband raised 3 daughters and lived most of their 55 years of marriage in Westville. She will be dearly missed by daughters, Lee MacKenzie, Green Hill; Jackie Hayman (David), Westville; Kelly Barley (Jim), Westville; grandchildren, Parker DeCoste (Karin), Tom Buffett (Ashlee), Gina Moss (Graham), Greg Hayman (Emma), Bradley Hayman, Bruce Barley (Jennifer), Stephen Barley (Chantell), Katlyn Barley (Andy); great-grandchildren, Hannah, Madeline, Nolan, Michael, Steven, Logan, and Shyan. She is also survived by sister, Winnifred Hayman, Edmonton; Montreal; mother-in-law, Jean MacKenzie, and special family friend Ruth Fraser. Georgina was predeceased by her husband, J. David MacKenzie and sister Glenn Jenkins. Georgina is rested at Eagles Funeral Home. Her funeral service was held 2 o’clock Saturday Feb. 1 from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with the Rev. Peter Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery at a later date. Family flowers only. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society.
