Obituary of Jo Logan
Georgina “Jo” Logan, age 88, of Fox Brook, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born September 7, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Keating) Sarson.
She was a long time employee of Goodman Co. Ltd. in New Glasgow. She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and dearly loved her summers spent at her cottage on Sinclair’s Island.
Jo is survived by son Rick (Karen), New Glasgow; daughters, Norma Belliveau (Adrien), Middleton; Jean Cox, Westville; Wanda Wadden (Ken), Green Hill; Kathaleen Strong (Peter), Woodstock, NB; grandchildren, Nicole Peppard (Jamie), Middleton; Emile Belliveau (Erin Balcom), Bridgewater; Carolyn Cox, Middleton; Michael Cox (Katelyn Lees), Westville; Darren Wadden (Lisa), Ottawa; Gail LeBlanc (Randy), Moncton; Glen Wadden (Rachael McLean), Green Hill; Anthony Strong (Jill Murphy), London ON; Shanna Strong (Kane Jacker), Singapore; Rebecca Strong (Andrew Hulse), Ottawa; great-grandchildren, Molly Peppard, Jacob and Macey Belliveau, James and Luke Wadden, Carson and Rowan LeBlanc, Logan and Felix Wadden. She is also survived by brother Nearing Sarson, sisters, Faye Tait (Jack); Roberta Sarson; sisters-in-law, Pearl Sarson-Tozer (Don) and Jackaleen Logan; and brother-in-law John Rolston.
She was predeceased by her husband Norman; daughter Jo-Ann; grand-daughter, Karen Wadden; son-in-law Gary Cox; brother Whitman; sisters, Edwina Rolston, Elaine D’Orsay, Catherine Miller, Edna Lou Pike, Helen Comeau and Beth Hilsdorf.
Jo is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville .
Visitations were held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.March 21. Her funeral service was held Saturday March 22 at 2 o’clock from Eagles Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bonnie Wynn officiating. Spring burial will be in the MacLeod Cemetery, Fox Brook.
