Obituary of Jack Hallam

John Walter “Jack” Hallam, age 84, of Stellarton, formerly of Lovat and Westville, occurred on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Mass., he was a son of the late Monica Newman and Samuel and Susan Anne (Foley) Hallam. Jack grew up in Mass., and served in the Korea War with the U.S. Army after WWII. He worked with Sikorsky Aircraft in the implementation of building helicopters. He received is BSC Degree in 1962. He moved to Nova Scotia to be with his Canadian family in 1976 where he continued to work until his retirement. Jack was predeceased by son Jack; brothers, Ernest and Wilfred, sisters, Lillian Nickerson and Frances Viselle. He is survived by daughter Monica Kish, Florida; Jack rested at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville . His funeral service was held at 11 am Tuesday April 15 from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Father Everett MacDow officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Name Cemetery. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
