Obituary of Dorothy Weatherbie

Dorothy Elizabeth Weatherbie. 85 of Cowan Street, Westville passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with her family at her side. Born in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Dorothy (Munsie) Mahoney. She was a secretary with I. Matheson Co. Ltd for several years until retirement. She enjoyed accompanying her husband hunting, sport fishing, camping and especially vacationing in P.E.I. Dorothy will be sadly missed by daughters, Lisa, Westville, Janis MacDonald (Bob), Timberlea, N.S., Theresa MacGregor (Kenneth), Thorburn; sons, Mark (Lorraine), Thorburn, and Leo (Lucie), Calgary, Alberta; grand children, Rick Weatherbie; Ashley and Adam MacGregor; Briana and Kiara MacDonald; Morgan and Andrea Weatherbie; great grand children, Cole, Cali and Abigail MacGregor. She is also survived by her sisters, Frances White, Ont; Lorraine Fraser (Brian), Edmonton and Mary Dooley (George “Huck”), Westville and brother Leo Mahoney (Mary), Ont. She was predeceased by her husband George, son George and brothers, Donald and George Mahoney. Visitations were held on Tuesday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service was held at 11 am Wednesday May 21, from The Church of The Holy Name, Westville with Father Everett MacDow officiating.. Interment will be in the Holy Name Cemetery.
