Obituary of Jessie Burke

Jessie (Ryan) Burke, 60 of Westville and Kingston passed away suddenly but peacefully, while out for a walk. Born in New Glasgow, on June 1, 1954, she was a daughter of the late George and Marie (MacDonald) Ryan. As a young girl, Jessie grew up in Westville. She moved to Annapolis Valley where she raised her children and worked as a hairdresser. Jessie eventually returned to reside in her home town, Westville. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Rhonda Dallaire (Marco), Winnipeg; son Ryan Burke , Kingston; grand children Noah and Anna-Marie Dallaire; sisters Ann Lennon, Stellarton; Reta Paddon, Kathleen Betts, Mary Ann Corning, all of New Glasgow; Josie Forshner, Ella Mae Brightman, and Eleanor Halliday all of Westville and brothers, Hugh (Geraldine), John (Diane), Alex ( Karen); and Michael (Connie) Ryan, all of Westville Besides her parents, Jessie was predeceased by her brother Archie and 4 infant brothers and sisters. Her family received visitors on Tuesday, July 8 f Her memorial service will be held on 11 am Wednesday July 9 from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Father Donald Boudreau officiating. Interment took place in the Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jessie's memory maybe made to the Pictou County Food Bank.
