Obituary of Lloyd MacKenzie

We sadly share that our dad, Lloyd MacKenzie, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014 at the age of 74. Dad lived in Westville for many years before moving to Canning in the Annapolis Valley, where he was active with the Lyons Club and a volunteer at the Canning Food Bank. Dad worked at the Nova Scotia Power Commission until he was injured on the job. He is predeceased by his parents, Bert and Bernice, his sisters Shirley Hughes, Karen Burns, Pat Fraser, and by his eldest son Ross. Dad will be remembered by his other children Velvet Hamilton, ON, Helen Winnipeg MB, Kenneth (Mary) Canning NS; Keith (Karen) Dunlap, IL, USA; Kirk (Susan) Bedford NS) and our mother and dad’s friend Catherine (Kay) Westville. Dad will also be remembered by his daughter in law Elda, his 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, his siblings Marion, Esther, Jessie, Roland, Leslie, and many nieces and nephews. Dad is rested at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Monday from 7-9 pm . His funeral was held 11 am Tuesday from Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with Rev. Doug Pilsworth officiating. Burial followed in the Auburn Cemetery. Flowers great fully declined and Donations may be made to Q.E. II Palliative Care Society
