Obituary of Treva MacLeod

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Treva Arleen MacLeod, formerly of Westville on January 14, 2015 on her 84th birthday in Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou Born on January 14, 1931 in Pleasant Ridge, N.B. she was a daughter of the late Frank and Eva (Darling) Long. Treva is survived by her children: Donna (Robert) Weaver, Pictou; Roger (Susan), Churchville; Trudy (Doug) Campbell, Bedford; Lori (Donald) Bourque, Dartmouth; and Wendy (A.J.) Mathias, Westville Rd.; her grandchildren: Michael, Christopher and Rebekah Weaver; Stephen, Travis and Ryan MacLeod; Brendon and Sean Campbell; Jesse and Zoë Bourque; Holly, Paige, Abigail and Ethan Mathias; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bobby, Francis and Raymond; sisters Elva, Marion and Judy. Treva was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Doug MacLeod; son Bruce; brothers, Burt and Wilbur and sisters Florence and Shirley. Treva’s life was making a loving home for her family. She loved special moments with her grand children and was proud of her great grand children. Treva was a member of St. Paul United Church, Westville where she was active in the U.C.W. and Sunday School. She was also a member of St. Luke’s United Church, salt Springs where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Cremation has taken place. Her family received visitors at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville on Friday . Funeral service was held at St. Paul United Church on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Doug Pilsworth officiating. Reception will follow in the church hall. Spring interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Donations in her memory maybe made to the Maritime Oddfellows Home or a charity of one’s choice. The family would like to thank the Staff of the Maritime Oddfellows Home for the wonderful, loving home they made for our mother.
