Obituary of Anne Watters

Anne (Chennell) Watters, 82, of Westville, passed away, Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in Glen Haven, surrounded by her family. Born in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ella (Dunbar) Chennell. Anne spent most of her life caring for children. She had 50+ foster children, and always looked after children in her home. When she wasn’t busy at home with her children she volunteered as a Beaver Leader for the 1st Westville Scouting Movement. She really enjoyed her summers spent with her husband and family at D & B Campground. Survived by her husband of 63 years John (Jack) and children: Jo-Anne (Vernon) Pittman, Westville; Debbie (Gordon) Ingram, Mississippi; Bonnie (Len) Van Veen, Westville; Ted (Rosalee) Watters, New Glasgow; Shane (Amber) Watters, New Glasgow; and Shaun, Westville; Grandchildren: Wally; Jason (Amanda); Tanya (Bill); Vanessa (Ray); Jamie (Carrie); Brian; Kristen (Cory); Mychaela, Tristen, Rene, Aden;Jamie; Jayden, and Devry; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a brother Robert “Bob” (Carol) Chennell and a sister Joan Chennell. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, John and Frank Chennell. Funeral Service was held 2pm on Saturday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with Rev. Pilsworth presiding. Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Alma at a later date. Anne’s children wish to thank all the VON careworkers, and the Glen Haven staff for the exceptional care and support their mother received during her stay.
