Obituary of Allan White

Allan Joseph White, Pictou, formerly of the Westville Road, passed away in the Palliative Care Unit at the Aberdeen Hospital on Feb. 5, 2015 surrounded by his family. Allan is survived by his siblings: Doris Langille (Kenny), Halifax; Isabelle (John) Hawley, Eastern Passage; Ivy (Sydney) Varner, St. George, NB; Christena (David) Halliday, Mark Road; Gerry White, White Hill, and numerous nieces and nephews. Allan has one niece (Crystal Halliday) who he was very close to; she was like a Guardian Angel to him over the last few years. He also had a friend (Johnny Zugay) who was a long time friend of the family, who was like a brother to him. Allan had no children of his own, but over the last couple of years, Tyson DeYoung, and Dawson and Samantha Crosby, were close to his heart. Allan worked hard all his life, starting at a young age at Eastern Tire, Westville Road. He loved working with his hands and attending exhibitions. Allan enjoyed going through flea markets, and was usually seen with a Tim Horton's coffee in his hand. Born in New Glasgow, NS on Dec. 12, 1954; Allan was the son of William White and Queenie (Harper) Langille, White, Boggs. He was predeceased by his father William White, and mother Queenie Boggs, and his step father Alex Boggs, as well as by three of his siblings: Kitchener Langille Jr. and William Langille, and Ruth White (Howard). Allanrested at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Saturday . His funeral service was held 1:00 pm Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015 at Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Dr. Glenn Matheson officiating. Spring interment will be in the Auburn Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, and Mental Health Foundation.
