Obituary of Ruben Conrad

Ruben Howard Conrad , age 78,Muirs Lane, Westville, passed away peacefully in Truro Hospital Palliative Care,Tuesday,March 17,2015. Born May 4,1936 in Popes Harbour. Ruben was the oldest son of the late James and Pearl (Palmer) Conrad. In his early years Ruben worked at Clairtone and then spent many years as a custodian at the former Westville High School. Rubens life revolved around spending time with his family, also enjoying fishing trips with the same. Ruben was a loving brother, uncle, and great uncle. He will be sadly missed by his sisters and brother Sarah (Bob) Bochek, Ontario, Clara (Joe) MacMillen, Westville, Archie (Lily) Conrad, Westville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Besides his parents Ruben was predeceased by his niece Isabel (MacMillen) Croft, and great nephew Greg Conrad. Ruben rerstedin Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visitation on Saturday. His funeral service was held at 3:30 pm Sunday March 22 from Eagles Funeral Home with Rev. Kingsbury, officiating. Reception to follow at Saint Bees' Anglican Church. Spring burial in St. Bee's Cemetery. Family Flowers only please.
