Obituary of Bill Priest

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Priest, peacefully at Aberdeen hospital June 16 after a long hard fought battle with cancer. Bill was born and raised in Stellarton, Nova Scotia the son of William and Jesse Priest. He moved to Burlington, Ontario at the age of 17 and not long after joined Dofasco Steel beginning a career that would span almost 30 years. Bill was able to take an early retirement which allowed him and and wife Susan to return to Nova Scotia in 1997. Bill was an avid trivia buff, exceptional crossword puzzle enthusiast, as well as a big fan of the Montreal Canadians and Toronto Blue Jays. Bill is survived by his wife of 46 years Susan, son Greg (Lisa), daughter Jennifer (Graham), grandchildren Mackenzie, Joanna and Cooper, and sister Esther French. Will be greatly missed by bother-in-law Bill French and sister-in-law Debbie Little as well as many nieces and nephews. A very special thanks to Dr. Daniel Rayson, VON & Palliative care team at Aberdeen Hospital. The family will be forever grateful for the comfort and support they provided. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service was held on Friday at 2 o'clock at the First Presbyterian Church, 242 South Foord Street, Stellarton, NS. Family flowers only preferred, donations can be made to the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation. Bill was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him
