Obituary of John Reid
John Kilpatrick Reid February 5, 1935 – July 29, 2015 John was perfect from the moment we met 39 years ago and remained perfect as he passed away in my arms on Wednesday, the eve of our 38th wedding anniversary
John was a handsome Scotsmen with a gentle, kind, generous heart, quiet personality who knew how to enjoy a rockin’ party. His singing, playing the bones, dancing got the party into gear with everyone anxiously awaiting John’s summary of the evening put to poetry. I will miss your joking comments over my lack of cooking skills, our warm conversations at our morning table and our Sunday morning kitchen dance. John was born in Mauchline, Scotland, and the located to Greenock, Scotland.
Survived by his loving wife, Jayne (Shannon), Sons Dave (Val) Alberta, J. Douglas (Vickie) grand-daughter, Allyssa both of BC. Sister in Law, Nan Reid, Niece Janet, Nephew, Andrew and families in Scotland. Several Brothers in Law and their families
John was the last surviving member of his family. He was predeceased by parents David and Janet (Kilpatrick) Reid, Sisters Cecilia (William) Russell, Margaret (Ian) Crombie and Brother Andrew.

Farewell my friends! Farewell my foes:
My peace with these, my love to those
The bursting tears my heart declare
Farewell the Bonnie Banks of Ayr.
