Obituary of Mary LeDrew

Mary Catherine LeDrew, age 92, formerly of Westville, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015 in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Born in Lingan, Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Catherine (MacIntyre) Sweeney. She is survived by daughters, Toni MacDonald (John K.), Brule; Mary Lou Fulton (Jeffrey), Westville; Bonita Lockhart (Ken), Westville; Pamela (Andy), Lawrencetown; sons, Reginald (Carole), Montreal; Fred (Brenda), Hazel Glen; Bob (Colleen), Caribou River; Forbes (Ella), Westville; grandchildren, Sophie, Jacob, Holly, Conor, Trinette, Adam, Roy, Anuli, Jackie, Charles, Kenny, Michael, Jessica; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Evelynn, Aviana; and sister, Carmel Gauvin, St. Lambert, Quebec. She was predeceased by her husband Charles LeDrew; sister, Ellen Kent; brothers, Allan, Earl, Lloyd and James Sweeney. Mary’s life will be celebrated in accordance to her wishes. She will be interred in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens alongside her beloved husband, Charles. Donations in her memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Institute of the Blind or the V.O.N.
