Obituary of Brian Leadbeater
Clarence “Brian” Leadbeater, age 64, of North Street, Westville, passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, September 7, 2015.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Elizabeth (Clark) Cameron and the late Harold Leadbeater.
Brian was an employee of Michelin Tire for 30 years. Upon retirement he was a taxi driver for Benvie’s for many years. Being an avid animal lover, he enjoyed being with his dogs Charlie and T, bird watching, going for drives looking for deer, and caring for his own fish. He loved playing checkers and was a huge Maple Leaf fan. He also enjoyed being out on his motorcycle. His quick wit and keen sense of humour will be always be remembered..
Brian will be forever loved and dearly missed by his daughters, Jennifer, Abercrombie; Kathryn, New Glasgow; step-daughters, Brooke and Kaylee (Danny), Westville; son Matthew, Pictou; grandchildren, Benjamin, Harrison, Chloe, and Kendall; sister Agnes Leadbeater (Allan Bird), Westville; niece Amy MacLeod, New Glasgow; and close friend Karl Dean, Westville.
He was predeceased by his parents, step-father John Cameron; and paternal grandfather Clarence Clark.
Cremation has taken place. His family received visitors at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville on Thursday, September 10. There will be no funeral service. Donations in his memory may be made to the S.P.C.A. or the Canadian Diabetic Association.
