Obituary of Chris MacLean
Christopher Kent MacLean, age 55, of Foxbrook Road, Westville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 12, 2015 in Fort Hills, Alberta.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late John M. and Helen (Russell) MacLean, Westville.
Chris was a warehouse technician working at Trenton Works and later with KBR Wabi, in Fort Hills. An avid dart player, Chris also played baseball as a catcher in his earlier years. He enjoyed all sports and was a huge Habs fan. A quiet easy going guy, Chris just liked being with his friends, his little dog Cuddles and most importantly, his family.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Rhonda DeGruchy; his pride and joy, daughter Halea; sisters, Darlyn MacLean (Fred), Westville; Diane Phelan (Tom), Victoria, BC ; Mary Sharpe (Laurie), Sunny Brae; Jennifer Fleury (David), Gairloch; and Shelley, New Glasgow; brother Ronnie (Heather), Westville; sisters-in-law, Karen MacLean, New Glasgow and Jackie MacLean, Mississauga; brother -in-law, Arnold Langille, Fox Brook; mother-in-law and father-in-law Evelyn and Doug DeGruchy, Trenton; special neighbour, Gertie Copp , Westville; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers Lloyd and John.
The family received visitors on Friday, September 18 at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His memorial service was held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 19 from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville, with Rev. Bonnie Wynn officiating.
