Obituary of June Elizabeth Wadden

The family of June E. Wadden, age 82 years, is sad to announce her peaceful passing on 22 October, 2015 at Valley View Villa, surrounded by her family. Mom was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Mom loved any and all activities involving her family. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and a good card game (that she usually won). June is survived by her children: Gary (Sherry), Westville; Alan (Mary), Dartmouth; Cindy (Kevin Little), Westville; grandchildren: Jeff (Seana), Candace (Matthew), Lindsay, Michelle (Justin), Trevor (Sarah), Robert, Derek (Theresa); 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Vernon Hamilton, Regina; Iza (Fraser) MacDonald, Penticton, BC; Helen (Wyman) Benjamin, Dartmouth; Don (Jean) Hamilton, Bay du Vin, NB; sisters-in-law, Linda Carr (Ed), Westville Road, Betty Hamilton, Moncton; brother-in-law John Wadden, Riverton; and many nieces and nephews; and is also survived by her stepchildren John (Elaine); Ann Pollard (Mike); Bill (Karen); Emily Patterson (Dan); and their families. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 41 years, Melvyn “Mel” Wadden; and a brother Allister Hamilton. She is also predeceased by her second husband William Douglas “Doug” Fraser. A special mention for her deceased dog, “Little Man” Buster, who made every day special for her. A special heartfelt “Thank You” to all the staff at Valley View Villa for their exceptional care, kindness, and compassion during our difficult time. June rested at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville w Saturday . Her funeral service was held 2 o’clock Sunday from St. Paul United Church, Westville. Burial was in the Auburn Cemetery, Westville. Donations may be made in her honour to Valley View Villa or the Canadian Cancer Society.
