Obituary of Wayne Cameron
Robert “Wayne” Cameron, 67 of Westville, passed away on Monday, December 7th, 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Wayne was born in New Glasgow on February 3, 1948, he was a son of the late Robert and Ethel Cameron, Westville.
He was an employee of Trenton Works for over 30 years until its closure. Wayne was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 35 Westville, where he served as poppy chairman for several years, 1st and 2nd vice president, secretary, Zone Representative and Sergeant at Arms. He enjoyed shooting pool with Albert Fields and was also a member of the Legion Dart League.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Pearl and son Shawn; dear friend Jean Mountney; as well as close friends Dana LeBlanc, Donald Calder and George Lees.
Wayne rested at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville, with visiting on Wednesday, December 9, 2015. The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 35 conducted a service Wednesday evening at the Funeral Home. His funeral service was held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 from the Westville Salvation Army Church with Captain Neil Abbott and Captain Delores Abbott officiating.
