Obituary of Daniel Dunn

Daniel Herbert Dunn, 69 of Foxbrook Road, Westville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, December 15, 2015, at his home with his family at his side. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Herbert and Isabella “Bella” (Deagle) Dunn, Westville. Known to most as Danny, he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and being with his friends. He was a proud and dedicated employee of the Town of Westville where he was a machine operator for the Public Works Department, even returning to work on occasion after his retirement. A husband, father, and grandfather, and recently celebrating their 50th anniversary, Danny will be dearly missed by his wife Evelyn (MacLeod); daughter, Cathy, Westville; sons, Kenny (Helen), Westville; Mike, at home; grandchildren, Holly, Shelby, and Robbie; great-grandchild Callie and step grand son Luke. He is also survived by sisters and brothers, Madeline Doiron (Rollie), Toronto; June Williams, Stellarton; Norma Legro (Norman), Mass.; Gary, B.C.; Tommy, Toronto; Sheila MacLeod (Bert), Bridgeville; Kenny, B.C.; LaVerne Wholer, B.C.; and several nieces and nephews. The family received visitors on Thursday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His memorial service was held 11 a.m. Friday, December 18 from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville. Family flowers only.
