Obituary of Mae MacNaughton
Mae Irene (Wilson) MacNaughton, age 97, of Westville, passed away in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow on Monday, January 11, 2016.
Born in Westville on December, 22, 1918, she was a daughter of the late David and Dorothy Mae (Chisholm) Wilson.
She lived most of her life in Westville, residing in Glen Haven Manor for the past few years. Mae worked for a number of years at Greendahl and then at Millers in New Glasgow. She truly enjoyed quilting and belonged to a quilting group in Westville. She also enjoyed knitting and crochet. Mae was a devoted member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Westville.
She is survived by her two sons, Hugh McNaughton, Burton, NB; Lloyd MacNaughton (Ghyssie), Kingston, NS; daughter-in-law Carol (MacLeod) McNaughton, Burton, NB; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; ; brother-in-law, Earl Fraser, Stellarton; sister-in-law Helen Wilson, Thunder Bay, ON; and special cousin, Joan Watters, Westville.
She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Harley MacNaughton; grandchildren, Marie, Natalie Angela, and Dereck Todd; sisters, Doris Priddy (Thomas); Margaret Bielby (Howard); and Eleanor Fraser; and brother, Willard “Bill” Wilson.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. Her burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Arrangements are under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
