Obituary of Marshall Dunn
Marshall Dunn, 71 of Loch Broom, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at his residence.
Born in New Glasgow, Marshall was a son of the late Radley H. and Edith M. (Marshall) Dunn, Sylvester.
Marshall worked for Higgins Construction prior to co-founding D&G Construction Ltd., which he operated for 25 years. He enjoyed square dancing and belonged to the Highland Squares and The Bluenose RV Squares. Marshall also enjoyed fishing, wood carving, playing his guitar and camping with friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Paula (Adams); beautiful daughters, Lisa (Neil) Curry of Elmsdale and Valerie (Gerald) MacCallum of Loch Broom; adored grandchildren, Samantha (Cody), Geoffrey, Nicholas and Jamie. Marshall is also survived by his sisters, Isabell Bowen (Frank), Little Harbour; Olive Simpson, (Roger), West Bank, B.C.; Francis Phinney (Bruce), Green Hill; Elda Kopp, (Edwin), Simpson,Sask; brothers, Charlie (Louise), Cranbrook, B.C.; George (Shirley), Green Hill; Roland (Kim), Clearwater, B.C.; Garfield (Alice), Sylvester and mother in-law, Winnifred Adams, New Glasgow.
He was predeceased by sister Helen Thompson.
His family received visitors on Sunday, January 24 at Eagles Funeral Home. Marshall’s memorial service was held 2 o’clock on Monday, January 25 from Eagles Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Doug Pilsworth officiating. Family flowers only please and if so desired, memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
