Obituary of Derek Fahey

It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the death of our son and brother, Derek Fahey formerly of Stellarton who passed away on January 14, 2016 in Regina. Derek was a son of Leo Fahey and the late Lillian Fahey. He is survived by his father Leo; sisters Lee and Alanna; brothers Trevor (Jeayn) and Gus (Lynn), nieces, Stephanie, Gabe, Sawyer, and Natalie and nephews, TA, Drew, Ben, Christopher, and Alexander. Derek was predeceased by his mother Lillian and a brother Leo (Jr). He was an avid sportsman, playing baseball, hockey, golf, curling and was a gifted sharpshooter in his earlier years. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Derek had worked as a “call boy” for the C.N.R. in his teenage years and later at Michelin Tire Corp. before residing in Brandon, Manitoba. He eventually moved to Regina to establish his computer business. There will be no visitations. A memorial service which was to be held on Tuesday, February9, 2016, is postponed and now will be held on 11 am Thursday February 11 at The Church of The Holy Name, Westville. with Father Peter MacDopnald offiociating. Spring interment will be in the Auburn Cemetery , Westville. Arrangements are under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville
