Obituary of Don Nelson

Nelson, Don E. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Born in Oakville, Ont on November 21, 1938, he was the son of Margaret Nelson and the late Earl Nelson. Don was a former employee of Scott Maritimes, Computer Instructor at Charles Fraser Computers, owner of Don Nelson Consulting, retiring from Stone’s Prestige Homes, New Glasgow. He served passionately as Treasurer of the Pictou County Antique Car Club. Don is survived by his wife Sue; son Mark (Callie), grandson Camaren; daughters Terry-Lee (Michael); Vicky; mother Margaret; brother Roy (Ann); sister Debbie (Ben). He was predeceased by his father Earl. Heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to everyone who cared for Don especially the physicians and nurses at the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit and the VON Home Care. Reception in honour of Don’s life was held at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville Donations in memory of Don may be made to Palliative Care or VON of Pictou County.
