Obituary of Eva Rees

Eva Irene Rees, (nee MacCallum), age 87 years, of Westville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Born October 16, 1928, in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Hazel and Roy MacCallum. Eva was a faithful member of the New Glasgow Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She had an unshakeable faith in her God, Jehovah and rests firmly in His memory assured of her wonderful hope of a resurrection. She is survived by, and will always be loved and missed by her husband of nearly 70 years Cenric “Kenny” Rees; daughters, Georgena Arnold (John), Dorothy Mezzo (Gerald); grandchildren, Vince (Decie), Sam (Sandy), Eva, Sonya, Joeleen, Tommy (Sandria), Mandi (Paul), Gillian (Travis), 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased, besides her by her parents, by brother Tommy (Joyce), sisters, Jessie Goldrick (George, Dusty), Georgena Adshade (George); and granddaughter Dorothy Jean. A memorial service was held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 1821 Old Truro Road, Westville, NS on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 1 p.m. Arrangements were under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville.
