Obituary of Doug Mason
It is with profound sadness, we the family of Douglas E. Mason, of Westville, announce his passing at the Aberdeen Hospital on Sunday, April 10, 2016.
Doug’s quick wit and uniquely outrageous sense of humour kept his family and friends laughing and smiling all the time. He was truly one of a kind to all that knew and loved him.
Doug is survived by his wife of 39 years Dagmar Hubley; daughter J’aime (Steve Wilson); son Jesse; his very special grand puppies Roo and Enzo, which he loved dearly; sisters, Pamela Carpenter, Dartmouth; Beryl Mason Guy (Tom), Whitehorse; niece Nadine Verney (Dave) and their children Mave and Thomas, Shearwater; nephew Van Selene (Ashlee), Prince Rupert; nephew Will Mason-Guy, Nanaimo, B. C.; nephew Kaven Carpenter (Tammy) and their children Maddie, Bryce and Grayson.
He is also surviced bysisters-in-law Florence Haggerty, Montreal; Dag Hubley, Kingston; Jean Smith, Campbell River; Marie Collins, Halifax; Karen Smith, New Glasgow; Carol Hubley, Westville; Linda Hubley, New Glasgow; Nancy MacKenzie (Gordon), Westville, Debbie Cameron (Arnie), Hopewell; brothers-in-law, Cecil Hubley (Sandra), New Glasgow; Harold Hubley (Sharon), Medicine Hat; George Hubley (Cherri), Corunna, Ont.; Earl Hubley (Aya), Airdrie, Alta.; Scott Hubley (Anna Jean), Westville; Ken Hubley (Rhona), Salem; very special cousins John and Phyllis Stewart and their children Melissa and Johnny, Westville; dear to his heart Jan Ferguson and Raylene MacPherson; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Doug was predeceased by his father and mother Donald and June (Fields) Mason; brother Donald Mason; brother-in-law Al Carpenter; father and mother-in-law Roy and Mary Hubley; brother-in-law Robert Hubley; sister-in-law Kay Skidmore.
His family will received visitors on Thursday. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His memorial service was be held 2 o’clock Friday. April 15 from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
