Obituary of Darryl Muir

Darryl James Muir, age 42 of Salt Springs, Pictou County passed away on November 22, 2009 after a courageous 10 year battle. Darryl was involved in a motor cycle accident in 1999 which left him disabled resulting in a need to become a resident of Glen Haven Manor and finally succumbing to pneumonia on Sunday. Born in London, Ontario, he is a son of Maureen (Meharg) Muir, Salt Springs and the late Gordon Muir. Besides his mother, Darryl is survived by his three brothers, Gordon, Truro; Mike, Salt Springs; and Kyle (Jeannie), Eastern Passage. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A public grave side service will be held at 1 pm Thursday at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Sylvester with Rev, Doug Pilsworth officiating. No flower by request, donations in his memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation. Services are under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville.
