Obituary of Bonnie Black
Bernice "Bonnie" Gertrude Black, age 74, of Hardwood Hill, passed away on Saturday September 3, 2016 at the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit surrounded by her family.
Born in Pictou, Pictou County, on March 1, 1942 she was the daughter of the late Dan and Clara (Dixon) MacLean.
Bonnie was a kind, giving person who always took the time to get to know people .She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, crocheting and reading. She always enjoyed having family and friends in to cook for and entertain. Family was very important to her and it was shown through the support she received throughout the last year.
She will be sadly missed by daughters, Sherry Black, Salem; Gwen Black, Hardwood Hill; Kelly Carrigan (Nathan), Lyons Brook; grandchildren, Carman James“Jamie” Black ( Krysten), Westville, Evan Irving, Salem; Carman and Christian Carrigan, Lyons Brook; great-grandchildren, Riley James and Clara Black, Westville; Brother Jimmy(Penny) MacLean, Lyons Brook
She was predeceased by her sister Margaret E Sutherland, parents and loving husband Carman who passed eight months prior.
She was very appreciative of the people of the VON and Palliative Care Unit. Their services were an incredible support to her as well as the family. Special thanks to Dr.Kwasnik, Rhonda Langille and Phyllis Hermillon.
A Celebration of Life was held on Wednesday September 7th at Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville.
