Obituary of Emma Graham

Mrs Emma Louise Graham, 96 of Watervale, Pictou County passed away peacefully on Monday, December 21, 2009 at the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born on July 17, 1913 in Hants County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph Stanley and Clara (Esdale) Taylor. Mrs. Graham was a person with a large heart who brought many foster children into her home and donated much to her community such as starting the Watervale Snowmobile Club which eventually became the Watervale Recreation Centre. She was a past president of the V.O.N. and the S.P.C.A. She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Janet Lousie Rogers, Truro; grand daughters Clare Davidson and Penny Blackwood; grand sons , Peter and Christopher Rogers; 12 great grand children and 9 great great grand children. She was predeceased by her first husband, Henry Lawrence Graham and second husband Ralph Douglas Graham; sons Ralph, Robert and Henry Graham; grand daughter Debbie Rogers ; and son-in-law Aubrey Rogers. By her request, Mrs. Graham has donated her body to Dalhousie Medical School. Family will receive friends at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville on Wednesday from 1-1:45 pm followed by a memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Mary MacDermid officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the I.W.K. Childrens Hospital, Halifax or to a chariyu of one's choice
