Obituary of June Rosborough
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the sudden passing of June Rosborough of Alma on Wednesday, December 14, at the age of 83.
June is survived by Bob, her devoted husband of 57 years. Loving sons; Larry (Susan), Bridgewater and Brian, Brantford, Ont. Beloved grandsons; Jake (Mary Jane) Halifax and Luke (Becka) Fredericton, NB. Her sister Barb (Frank) Murray, Halifax, nephew Troy (Nicole) Murray, Sault St. Marie, sister in law Norma Bird, Avondale, NB and brother in law George Rosborough, Woodstock, NB.
June was predeceased by her parents; Sam and Vi (Darroch) MacDonald.
June loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed many happy hours at her cottage in the Garden of Eden cruising the lake in the early morning with her dog Dusty by her side. She loved to drive and was very proud of her sporty cars thru the years. June and Bob travelled for work and pleasure and had many wonderful memories of time spent with friends on the road. Her love of working with people lead her to her careers in banking and real estate and many volunteer activities. June was a proud founding member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Alma Fire Dept., a church elder in the Green Hill-Alma United Church, a member of the United Church Women, Women's Institute and Past President of Local Council and Past Regional President of Atlantic Grand Council for United Commercial Travellers.
June rested at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville, with visitation on Saturday, December 17. Her funeral service was held from Eagles Funeral Chapel on Sunday, December 18 with the Rev. Meredith Fraser officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of June can be made to the Alma Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, Summer Street Industries or a charity of your choice.
