Obituary of Clyde Stanley

Clyde Eldridge Stanley, 89 of Green Hill, Pictou County passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 in the Palliative Care Unit of The Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with his family at his side Clyde served 25 years in the R.C.M.P. Marine Division before retiring to Green Hill “on the Farm”. He then worked for an additional 25 years for the Northumberland Ferries as Ships Master to finally retire. Clyde loved his little farm, tending to vegetable gardens and caring for his animals. He was an avid reader and surrounded himself with books. Clyde will missed by, sons, Richard, Green Hill; Bruce, Durham; Roddy, Tanner Hill; daughter, Nancy, Enfield; ten grand children and twelve great grand children; sister, Beverly Grew (Harold), St. John, N.B. He was predeceased by his wife Ruth, daughter-in-law Linda and brother Ray. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitations or funeral service by request.
