Obituary of Jamie Jardine
James William “Jamie” Jardine, age 34, of Union Centre, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with his loving family by his side.
Born in New Glasgow, on July 19, 1982, he is a son of John and Wendy (Morris) Jardine, Union Centre.
Jamie graduated from Westville High School. He enjoyed building things, tinkering with projects, and took a great interest in computers. He was a great Maple Leaf Fan, always enjoying a good conversation about hockey. Jamie always had a smile and would not allow his disability to interfere with his independence. With his challenges, he continued to live life to the fullest. In his pictures he always had a thumbs up.
He will be dearly missed by his parents; sister Tracy (Shane MacKinnon) ; maternal grandmother Dorothy Jardine; aunts and uncles, Isabel Fancy (Barry), Ken Jardine (Nancy), Nancy Marshall (David), Roy Morris (Marie), Donna Barrett, Ron Morris (Charlene) and several cousins.
Jamie was predeceased by his brother Jason; paternal grandfather Murray Jardine; maternal grandparents Sterling and Sylvia Morris; uncles Glen and Jim Jardine and cousin Christopher.
His family received visitors on Wednesday April 26, at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His funeral service was held Thursday, April 27, from Middle River Presbyterian Church, Rocklin with Bonnie Langille officiating assisted by Rev. Charles MacPherson. Interment was in Birch Hill Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
